The East End Road & Trail Runners Club was founded Feb. 2, 1994. There were only a handful of races on the east end at the time and no organized way of finding out about races. The clubs purpose is to inform runners, organize new events, and support existing events. Club Founder, Bob Beattie has been timing foot races since 1994. In 1997 Bob Beattie and Charlie Pecora combined their knowledge and expertise in the needs of computerized timing and scoring. Hence, Fit Results.
To date Fit Results has timed over 300 races and have processed 60,000 competitors. We started small and have grown to meet the demands. Our software and hardware is continually upgraded to give accurate timing and scoring within a minimum amount of time. Our staff of two has grown accordingly. Now depending upon the size of the race we can utilize up to ten people. Our mobile data processing center is completely self-sustaining. Bob and Charlie are both runners so we are on top of all the needs required to make your race a success.
In 2008, Fit Results became Island Timing and has added chip technology from Winning Time to it's services.
